Overview
This Email Privacy Policy explains how RIDE, operated by Lamar Technology LLC, sends email and handles information related to those messages. RIDE delivers email through a third-party email provider (such as Resend) to support your account, trips, onboarding, and required notices. This policy works alongside our main Privacy Policy.
Types of Email We Send
RIDE uses email for account, support, and service purposes. The categories below are sent because they are necessary to operate your account or are required for legal or security reasons.
- Account emails, such as registration, verification, password resets, and profile changes
- Support emails responding to questions, reports, or requests you submit
- Receipts and transactional emails confirming trips, charges, refunds, or payouts
- Driver onboarding emails about applications, verification, background checks, and approval status
- Investor inquiry emails responding to investment or partnership questions
- Security and legal notices, such as policy updates, account alerts, or required disclosures
Account and Transactional Emails
Account and transactional emails are tied directly to your use of RIDE. They include verification, security, receipts, and trip-related confirmations. Because these messages are necessary to provide the service, you may continue to receive them while you maintain an active account, even if you opt out of marketing email.
Driver Onboarding Emails
Driver applicants and drivers may receive email about onboarding steps, document and identity verification, background check status, and approval decisions. These emails help move your application forward and keep you informed of time-sensitive requirements.
Investor Inquiry Emails
If you contact RIDE about investment, financing, or partnership opportunities, we may use the email address you provide to respond to your inquiry and to send related follow-up communications. This information is used to handle your inquiry and is not used to enroll you in unrelated marketing without consent.
Security and Legal Notices
RIDE may send email to inform you of security events, suspicious activity, policy or terms updates, and other legally required notices. Because these messages protect your account or are required by law, they are not optional while you have an account with RIDE.
Marketing Emails
RIDE sends marketing or promotional email only if you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by applicable law. Marketing email is separate from the account, transactional, security, and legal emails described above.
Unsubscribe and Communication Preferences
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by adjusting your communication preferences where available. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop account, transactional, security, or legal emails that are necessary to operate your account. You can also contact support@ridebylamar.com for help managing your preferences.
Your Email Address and Privacy
RIDE does not sell your email address to third parties for their own marketing. Your email address is shared with our email provider only to deliver the messages described in this policy. For more detail on how RIDE handles personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
